Samsung lists Galaxy A22 5G on official India support page, could launch very soon

Earlier this month, Samsung announced its new additions to the Galaxy A lineup – Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G. However, the company has not yet started shipping these phones, but it’s expected very soon in select regions such as Europe and Asia.

Ahead of its launch, the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone has recently spotted on Samsung India’s official support page, which carries model number SM-A226B/DS. Other than the model number, the listing didn’t reveal its launch date and pricing details.

Galaxy A22 5G

The Galaxy A22 5G will be the cheapest 5G smartphone offering from Samsung to date. According to the official infographics, this device sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with an Infinity-V notch, plus a 90Hz refresh rate. On the right side, it has a fingerprint reader, better known as side-mounted.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy A22 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth lens. On the front, it highlights an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.

Under the hood, the A22 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC supported by up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It also features storage expansion through a microSD card. Additional features include a 5000mAh battery, 15W fast charging, Android 11-based One UI 3.1 pre-installed and more.

It is expected that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A22 5G in Europe with a starting price tag of €229 (~INR 20,300) for the base 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.
