Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are the most anticipated smartphones of this year. Recently, a famous tipster shared a handful of renders of these upcoming foldable, and now we are getting more information regarding their hardware capabilities.

It looks like 2021’s Galaxy foldable phones will feature more resilience compared to previous generations thanks to Samsung’s advanced UTG 2.0 backplane technology. Last year, it was reported that the company is working on a new UTG tech that will be compatible with the S Pen’s tip.

Samsung’s first foldable glass display – Galaxy Z Flip 3 features an Infinity Flex Display with the OEM exclusive bendable Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). Later on, the Korean tech giant filed four trademarks with EUIPO and UTG 2.0 is one of them.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is expected to feature Snapdragon 888 chipset, two 12MP rear cameras in unique design, a 2300mAh rated capacity battery with 15W fast charging,

Furthermore, the upcoming clamshell foldable phone tipped to come with a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display along with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it will feature the same top and bottom flip design as the original Galaxy Z Flip.

Launching on August 3

Over the past few days, we have heard that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 at its upcoming Unpacked event on August 3, while the shipments will start from August 28. Still, we are waiting for an official statement from Samsung.
