BREAKING: Samsung expands security updates to five years for select Galaxy devices

Even after offering an impressive four years of security updates support to each Galaxy device, Samsung just confirmed that select flagship and enterprise devices will now eligible for five years of new security updates.

According to the info, Samsung UK announced that the enterprise variants of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series as well as Galaxy XCover 5, and the Galaxy Tab Active 3 are now eligible for five years of security and maintenance update from their first global launch date.

The Korean tech giant designs enterprise edition Galaxy smartphones, especially for businesses. These variants feature additional security measures and enterprise data management features that can be managed and configured by the company’s IT team.

As every Samsung fans well known for its software updates policy, the company rolls out new security patches monthly, quarterly, and biannually as per the device’s eligibility. At the same time, all the flagship and select mid-range Galaxies get three generations of Android OS upgrades.
