It looks like, Samsung is going to unveil its Android 12-based custom skin ahead of the new One UI 3.x version, One UI 3.1.1. Recently, it is reported that the next Galaxy Unpacked will be held on August 11, where the One UI 3.1.1 will be introduced.

In a recent development, Samsung insider Ice Universe disclosed that the One UI 4.0 (Samsung’s Android 12 version) will be released next week. However, Google is yet to announce the stable version of Android 12 for general users.

We know that the Korean tech giant runs its own Beta testing activity in order to develop its custom software system for Galaxy devices on top of the Android operating system. If the leak is true, we are going to encounter the One UI 4.0 Beta announcement for eligible Galaxy devices.

Last year, Samsung launched the Android 11 Beta trial for developers after the official (stable) release of this new operating system from Google. Meanwhile, it looks like things might be changed this year as the company is not bringing the third iteration of One UI 3.x that should boost the Android 12 adoption process.

Galaxy S21 series to get it first!

Launched with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box, the Galaxy S21 flagship series is Samsung’s top priority for the major Android OS switch. We can surely expect that these premium devices will be the first to get the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 Beta and stable update.

Aside from the latest flagships, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 series will also join the party with the One UI 4.0 update. As of now, it’s early to expect the One UI 4.0 Beta availability for the older flagships such as Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 series.
