Snapdragon 895 and 895+ could be built on Samsung and TSMC’s 4nm process

Most of the next year’s flagship smartphones will be equipped with a new Qualcomm processor, which could be introduced later this year. Ahead of its launch, famous tipster revealed important information regarding the company’s next flagship SoCs.

According to Ice Universe Twitter post, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 895 will be fabricated by Samsung on its 4nm process technology. Meanwhile, its overclocked version i.e. the Snapdragon 895+ will also be based on the expected 4nm fabrication process but it will be manufactured by Taiwan’s TSMC.

As per the previous reports, Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 895 processor bears model number SM8450. It’s expected to feature Kryo 760 CPU, Adreno 730 GPU, Spectra 680 ISP, and an integrated Snapdragon X65 5G modem.

As of now, the latest Snapdragon 888 and 888+ processors are based on a 5nm fabrication process. The former was debuted late last year, while the latter has announced recently at the Mobile World Congress 2021 in Barcelona.

Following the same strategy, the US chipmaker might also introduce its next flagship mobile processor Snapdragon 895 (tentative name) somewhere in December, while its overclocked variant could be announced in the second half of next year.

Last but not least, we will surely get more information regarding the specs and capabilities of the upcoming Snapdragon 895 and Snapdragon 895+ processors ahead of launch. However, the company has not yet revealed such data about future products.
