This is interesting to see when you consider that PUBG Mobile was banned in one of its major markets, India in September 2020.

Earlier, Esports Charts claimed that although PUBG Mobile was highly regarded by Indonesian viewers, India’s ban on the game had absolutely affected it. Despite the ban, India’s views have contributed 29.2 percent of PUBG Mobile’s targeted 2020 revenue.

With PUBG Mobile returning as Battlegrounds Mobile India and surpassing the 40 million pre-registration deadlines of the planned tournament, it will be exciting to see if Krafton’s IPs are able to maintain their dominance by 2021.

Adding to this, if you look at how popular the battle royale game is in the country, it is no surprise that Battlegrounds Mobile India has already received over 10 million downloads from the Google Play Store.
