Samsung One UI 4.0

Samsung’s Android 12 update is the most discussed subject among millions of Galaxy smartphone users. Since the birth of its custom skin One UI, the company runs its own beta testing program just after the release of a new Android OS version.

This year, the Korean tech giant will introduce the One UI 4.0 built on Google’s Android 12 operating system. The official announcement is expected to happen later this September, meanwhile, famous tipster just tweeted a cryptic message on his Twitter handle.

According to Samsung insider IceUniverse, he is wondering to get a big announcement regarding the One UI 4.0 instead of the company’s next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone. Moreover, he claimed that we may get some information about the major Android 12 upgrade for Galaxy devices later this month.

One UI 4 internal name SOS!

A few days ago, the same source revealed that the company has postponed the One UI 4.0 (Android 12) Beta release for some time, Furthermore, it’s reported that the One UI 4 is internally named SOS. As the Android 12’s codename is Snow Cake, the internal name of One UI 4 as SOS makes sense.

One UI 4 will debut later this year

We believe that the company will unveil the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 somewhere in late September for developers, followed by public Beta in October this year. Under the Beta activity, the OEM should invite flagship Galaxy users from select countries to help in the development of One UI 4.0.

However, the search engine giant introduced the Android 12 OS that comes with radical design changes and major user interface overhaul compared to previous generations, expectations from Samsung’s One UI 4 are also high. Stay tuned with us for further development on this matter.

Samsung Exynos 2400

Samsung Foundry wants to produce Exynos to attract 2nm clients like Qualcomm and Nvidia. Major chip designers have no option other than TSMC for contract semiconductor production.

Digitimes report suggests that Samsung Foundry wants to produce 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset. The company has recently started Exynos 2500’s mass production for Z Flip 7, Korean media reported.

TSMC is producing 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chips for Qualcomm. Nvidia also produces its most advanced semiconductors using TSMC’s cutting-edge process nodes.

The latest report indicates that Samsung Foundry is advancing its semiconductor capabilities. The mass production of Exynos 2600 is under consideration for next year.

Samsung Foundry has no other option but to prove its semiconductor capabilities. If the Foundry division manages to secure decent yield rates in the 2nm process, Qualcomm may ink a deal.

Exynos 2600 is a great opportunity to demonstrate the technological innovations of the Foundry division. It would attract key clients like Qualcomm, marking a strategic push for the business.

Samsung will have 2x benefit with the 2nm process technology. The Exynos 2600 would power the Galaxy S26 series – ending the reliance on Qualcomm for Snapdragon chipsets.

Qualcomm will also get the opportunity to negotiate production costs with TSMC. Samsung Foundry is comparatively cheaper than TSMC as there will be two major options for clients.

“Samsung Electronics’ foundry division is advancing its semiconductor capabilities through the mass production of the Exynos 2600 (tentative name), marking a strategic push for self-sufficiency in mobile application processors (APs).” – Digitimes.

Samsung Galaxy A36 12 MP selfie camera

Samsung Galaxy A56 5G could get a massive charging speed boost. The company is working on various smartphones to be launched next year. In the latest development, the charging support of the A56 5G was allegedly revealed.

According to 3C, Samsung Galaxy A56 5G supports 45W fast charging. If the listing is true, the A56 is set to get a huge upgrade. With almost double the charging speed, users won’t have to wait much to get the battery juice refilled.

The phone allegedly supports a maximum charging of 10V at 4.5A, reaching 45W. It’s a big upgrade as the previous phones in the same segment offer 25W charging. Notably, the Galaxy S25 is rumored to come with 25W charging support.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra support 45W charging. This year, select non-flagship phones debuted 45W charging capacity. 45W doesn’t sound that big when Chinese vendors introduced up to 240W speeds.

Anyways, it’s a notable upgrade in Samsung’s smartphone segment. Despite the fact that 45W charging isn’t much faster than 25W, it will pave the way for even faster charging on future Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Galaxy A56 5G Design and Leaked Specs

Samsung could ship the Galaxy A56 with a major design upgrade. The rear panel could get a vertical island to boast the camera sensors. We’ve seen the potential in Galaxy A’s design philosophy in CAD renders of the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26.

The phone will debut a new processor, Exynos 1580 likely, with improved performance and efficiency. The conventional 32MP front camera could also be replaced with a new solution featuring 12-megapixel resolution.

Samsung could introduce the Galaxy A56 and A36 smartphones in the first half of the next year.
