Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to perform better than Galaxy S21 Ultra with Snapdragon 888 chip
Instead of Snapdragon 888 Plus, Samsung is going to ship its upcoming foldable flagship smartphone with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, the company has not yet unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, a reliable source recently revealed the performance of the former foldable.
According to Samsung insider IceUniverse, the Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy Z Fold 3 has less heat in daily games. Moreover, the device reportedly features a much stronger performance than the Galaxy S21 Ultra flagship as well as longer battery life.
Earlier this year, Samsung debuted Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset with its Galaxy S21 series smartphones. However, it’s a flagship processor, but some users reported having critical heating issues in some cases such as gaming.

It looks like Samsung has impressively optimized the Snapdragon 888 chip with the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s software system, following the feedback of Galaxy S21 series consumers. At the same time, the arrival of the S Pen for the foldable phone will also be benefitting Samsung to gain its sales.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 to cost 20% lesser
Recently, a South Korean media outlet revealed the expected starting price of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 i.e. 1.99 million won ($1,744). Compared to the 2.39 million won Galaxy Z Fold 2, its successor will cost around 17% lesser.
Last but not least, the company has not confirmed the arrival of its foldable phone lineup, while an official announcement could be done later this month. Though, it’s almost confirmed that several Galaxy products including Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 will introduce on August 11.
