Samsung Galaxy A21s gets new June 2021 security update

Samsung is about to release the August 2021 security update in the coming days at the same time it’s releasing the July security patch to the remaining and eligible Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, Samsung is now releasing the June 2021 update to the Galaxy A21s smartphone in South Korea.

According to the info, the South Korean tech giant released a new software update for the Galaxy A21s handsets in its home ground. It’s just a minor update, which installs the June 2021 security patch and carries build version: A217NKSU6CUG1.

  • Application of stabilization code related to terminal operation

Last month, the company had rolled out a new firmware update for this device that including improvements for the Quick Share function for better file sharing. Furthermore, the previous s/w update also added a new feature for the Chat and Message function.

A few months ago, Samsung started distributing the stable Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for the Galaxy A21s smartphone. This major update had changed the entire user interface and functionalities of the popular budget smartphone.

Released back in May 2020, the Galaxy A21s ships with the Android 10-based One UI 2.1 out of the box. According to Samsung’s Android upgrade policy, this model will also receive the upcoming Android 12 update, most probably next year.

Here’s how to manually check for updates

  • Open device Settings
  • Scroll down and select Software updates
  • Hit on Download and install button.
