Recently, South Korean media reported that Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong could be released from prison on parole. Furthermore, the report suggests that Lee has listed on the list of candidates that are getting parole on August 15.

Still, it’s not confirmed that Samsung Lee will be released on parole on the Independence Day of South Korea. Usually, the prisoners who have served more than 60% of their sentence are eligible for parole, but the country’s law is different for social leaders, government officials, and business people.

Furthermore, it is reported that Samsung VC will complete his 60% term of sentence by August 15, 2021, which makes Samsung Lee Jae-yong eligible for parole, said the chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.

Previously, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea pointed out that Samsung VC’s release is important as the company plays a key role in the semiconductor field.

In an interview, CEO Song said that the important thing is that Samsung’s Lee is not active because he has been arrested and that he cannot invest until he appears. That’s why the public consensus is growing that Lee should come out and work in disaster situations.
