Verizon releasing July 2021 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

A few days back, Samsung released the latest security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 smartphone in South Korea. Now, the company’s second-generation foldable device started collecting a new firmware update on the Verizon USA carrier.

Identified via PDA release number F916USQU1DUF1, Verizon’s new software update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with a new security patch dated July 2021. However, it is an initial rollout, the carrier will soon expand its availability widely.

July 2021 Security Patch: Earlier this month, the Korean tech giant revealed that the July update brings fixes for 41 CVE items from Google and 8 SVE items from Samsung. Additionally, this update should improve the system functions and stock applications as well.

How to check for update manually?

As always, just open your device’s Settings, scroll down then tap on the Software updates menu. Wait for update checking and hit the Download and install button if the device recognizes a new OTA update.
