Samsung Galaxy A50 receives July 2021 security update globally

Samsung has started sending a new software update to the Galaxy A50 smartphone owners, which improves the system stability as well as security by installing the latest Android and One UI patches released in July 2021.

The new Galaxy A50 update comes with a firmware version A505GUBS9CUG4, which is currently rolling out in a handful of smartphone markets that are:

• Argentina
• Bolivia
• Colombia
• Paraguay
• Trinidad and Tobago

Galaxy A50 July 2021 update details

Last month, Samsung revealed that its July 2021 security update brings fixes for 3 critical and 38 high levels of CVEs from Google. In addition, the update includes fixes for 8 SVEs from Samsung as well for all the Galaxy devices.

A few months ago, the Galaxy A50 upgraded the Android 11-based One UI version 3.1, and this device will spend its remaining time on the Android 11 as it’s the last major update. Nevertheless, Samsung will offer more new security updates and could also the One UI 3.1.1.

How to check for update manually

You can check for the updates manually by opening your device’s Settings, finding and selecting the Software updates menu, waiting until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.
