Breaking: Not Samsung, Xiaomi was the world’s largest smartphone brand in June 2021

Samsung has been leading the world for years when it comes to the highest smartphone units shipments. Meanwhile, Counterpoint Research’s latest report just tells the opposite that Xiaomi became the planet’s largest smartphone vendor in June 2021.

It’s the first time ever when Xiaomi surpassed the world’s reputed smartphone vendors such as Samsung and Apple in terms of highest unit shipments, while the data for just a single month – June 2021. The researchers said that Samsung left behind Xiaomi due to the bad impact of Vietnam’s production factory.

In June 2021, Xiaomi overtook Samsung and Apple to become the number one smartphone brand in the world for the first time ever, courtesy of Counterpoint Research’s Monthly Market Pulse Service. The company’s sales rose 26% MoM in June 2021, which made it the fastest-growing brand for the month.
