Recently, Counterpoint Research released its latest report, which consists of the data of the smartphone market of the Middle East during the second quarter of this year (Q2 2021). If we talk specifically about Samsung, the company failed to record year-on-year growth but led the region.

According to the report, Samsung was the largest smartphone vendor during April-June 2021 period in the Middle East. However, the company faced a negative 21% annual growth due to multiple reasons such as supply imbalance.

Xiaomi, on the other hand, gained the second position, just like the global market, in the second quarter with 15% of market share and a remarkable 366% year-on-year growth. The Chinese phone maker is rapidly expanding its presence in the world’s various regions and countries.
