With the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung launched a new iteration of its custom skin called One UI 3.1.1, which exclusively comes pre-installed with these devices. Previously, it was expected that the new One UI generation will be the One UI 3.5, while it got replaced by the 3.1.1 version of One UI.

Usually, the South Korean tech giant releases every new One UI version to several Galaxy devices via firmware update, but it seems not happening this year. According to the info, a member of Samsung’s mobile team claimed that One UI 3.1.1 won’t release for current Galaxy phones and tablets.

Is it means, the One UI 3.1.1 is exclusively available for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3?

Yes, but there’s a catch! The team member further revealed that Samsung will release some of the app One UI 3.1.1 improvements and system enhancements to some of the Galaxy flagships through a firmware update. However, you won’t be able to see the One UI 3.1.1 mark on your Galaxy phone’s software info page.

To be mentioned, the member revealed that the Galaxy S20 series devices will start getting the One UI 3.1.1 improvements from August 17, followed by the Galaxy S21 series from August 25 and the Galaxy Note 20 series thereafter.
