Samsung Galaxy A50 August 2021 security update has arrived

Samsung is continuously expanding its latest security patch to more and more eligible Galaxy devices. Now, as per the latest news, the Galaxy A50 has begun receiving the same treatment of system security improvements by collecting the most up-to-date Android and One UI patches released in August 2021.

At the moment, the Galaxy A50 smartphone is receiving the August 2021 security update in several countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay.

Identified via release number – A505GUBS9CUH1, this update brings just system security improvements as no new features or changes are mentioned in the changelog. However, the new patches include fixes for 38 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for Galaxy devices.

Although the August update rollout for the Galaxy A50 model is in the initial stage and is expected to reach models from other countries in the coming days. Till then, you can check for the updates manually by navigating to your device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
