New Galaxy A01 firmware update brings July 2021 security patch

Samsung is busy delivering the latest August 2021 security patch to the eligible Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, it is also sending the older security improvements to other smartphones as per their eligibility.

According to the info, the Galaxy A01 smartphone has started grabbing a new firmware update. The new OTA update comes with a brand new security patch released in July 2021 for improved stability.

Along with the new security patch, the Galaxy A01 update changelog suggests enhancements for various system functions as well as fixes for some unknown bugs in order to deliver a better overall user experience.

Last month, Samsung revealed that its July 2021 security update brings fixes for 3 critical and 38 high levels of CVEs from Google. In addition, the update includes fixes for 8 SVEs from Samsung as well for all the Galaxy devices.

It’s worth mentioning that the update is initially rolling out for the Galaxy A01 smartphone users in Brazil, which could be expanded to more global regions and countries in the coming days. Till then, you can see the steps below to check for updates manually.

How to check for update manually

You can check for the updates manually by opening your device’s Settings, finding and selecting the Software updates menu, waiting until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.
