Samsung Galaxy Note 10 grabs August 2021 security update
The most anticipated August 2021 security patch has begun to roll out for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series devices with a new firmware update. Recently, the Galaxy S10 series phones have also joined the party with the latest Android and One UI patches in Europe and the US.
Currently, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lineup August 2021 security update rollout is taking place in select countries such as Brazil. And it’s expected that the Korean tech giant will expand it to more regions in the coming days. Meanwhile, you can see the build numbers below.

Other than the system security improvements, this new Galaxy Note 10 series firmware update didn’t include any new features or UI tweaks. Well, if you own a Galaxy Note 10 range smartphone, you will get the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update later this year.

One UI 4.0 to come next?
Launched back in August 2021, the Galaxy Note 10 series came pre-installed with Android 9-based One UI 1.5 out of the box. Further, the OEM released the Android 10-based One UI 2.5, followed by the One UI 3.1 update on top of Android 11 earlier this year.
When it comes to security update eligibility, the Galaxy Note 10 series is currently listed for grabbing new security patches monthly. However, the quota will exceed when the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will celebrate their 2nd birthday.
How to check for updates manually
- Open device Settings
- Scroll down and tap on Software updates
- Hit the Download and install button.
