Samsung Galaxy S10 gets August 2021 update in the US and Europe

Samsung August 2021 security update is now expanding for the Galaxy S10 series devices in different parts of the world such as Europe and the US. Just recently, these devices have begun grabbing the latest security patch in Switzerland, and now, the same update is taking place in the US for carrier unlocked models.

According to the info, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ receiving a new firmware update with August 2021 security patches from Samsung and Google. The package includes fixes for 38 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for the Galaxy S10 series and other Galaxies.

In the US, consumers can identify this release via PDA firmware versions: G970U1UES6GUG1, G973U1UES6GUG1 and G975U1UES6GUG1 for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ smartphones respectively.

On the other hand, in European countries, the same treatment can be identified via build numbers: G970FXXUCFUH3, G973FXXUCFUH3 and G975FXXUCFUH3 for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ smartphones respectively.

One UI 3.1.1 or One UI 4, What’s next?

However, it’s a minor software update, which includes just new Android patches for device security improvements. Meanwhile, it’s reported that Samsung is not in a mood to offer the One UI 3.1.1 update to the current Galaxy phones and tablets.

Apart from this, preparation of the Android 12 update for Galaxy devices has begun and Samsung is expected to announce the One UI 4 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series flagships in the coming days/month. The Galaxy S10 units are eligible for the Android 12 update, but the Beta invitation could not arrive ahead.
