India: Samsung Galaxy S20 getting August 2021 security update
Earlier August 2021, Samsung distributed the latest security improvements through a software update to the Galaxy S20 series. Now, the latest info suggests its expansion to more regions as the Galaxy S20 smartphone owners receiving the August update in India.
According to Samsung India, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra users started getting the most up-to-date Android and One UI patches released in August 2021 via OTA update. The new release package weighs more than 600MB that hints at major performance improvements.

Samsung Galaxy S20 August update details
At the beginning of August, the Korean phone maker published, this month’s security bulletin, which details this update brings fixes for 38 CVEs from Google (including 3 critical) and 8 SVEs from Samsung in order to enhance the overall device stability.

Check for updates manually
If you live in India, then check for the updates manually by just open your device’s Settings, find and tap on the Software updates menu, wait until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.

Samsung seems to be swiftly working to start the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 Beta program for eligible Galaxy devices. However, the Beta activity is expected to debut next month, followed by a stable release later this year.
