No 200MP camera with Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, S Pen coming again!

Just after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S21 series, rumors regarding the next Galaxy S flagship lineup have started to emerge online. As per the latest, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, top variant of the Galaxy S22 series, won’t feature a 200MP camera sensor after all.

Korean media outlet, TheElect reports that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a 108MP image sensor, just like its predecessor Galaxy S21 Ultra. At the same time, the report revealed that the device will have a 12MP ultra wide camera with OIS, while the 3D ToF sensor won’t come along.

Aside from this, the resolution of the front camera will be unchanged next year as the Galaxy S22 Ultra is likely to use a 40MP selfie camera. Notably, the Galaxy S22 series won’t be featuring the under-display camera tech, which was recently debuted with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

S Pen

Previously, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ rumored to be equipped with a 50MP main camera and 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Well, the S Pen will also be offered with the Galaxy S22 Ultra as part of Samsung’s commitment of expanding this function.

Production in November

The same source previously revealed that the Korean tech giant will begin the mass production of the Galaxy S22 series in November this year. And the shipments will start after the early January 2022 annoucnement of the next Galaxy S flagships.
