Samsung Pay users in Canada now get TD card support on select Galaxy devices

On September 15, Samsung Canada announced that eligible TD cards, including TD Access Cards and TD Credit Cards, are now supported by Samsung Pay, a widely accepted mobile payment system that works almost anywhere consumers can swipe or touch their cards.

This partnership with TD significantly increases Samsung Pay availability to Canadian cardholders. The Samsung Pay expansion comes at a time when untapped payments are growing in popularity across Canada.

To help promote greater acceptance of non-communicable transactions as a quick and secure payment option, Canadian card issuers have increased contact limit transactions from $100 to $250 last year. By early 2021, contactless payments accounted for nearly 60 percent of global jobs nationwide.

In addition to paying, users can collect the same rewards and benefits they normally enjoy with Samsung Pay by entering the appropriate app cards.

Samsung Pay is compatible with a variety of Samsung smartphones including Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Galaxy S21 Series 5G, Galaxy Note20 Series 5G, Galaxy Note10, and Note10 +, Galaxy Watch4 Series, Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2.
