Recently, Google revealed that by the end of 2021, 150 million users will be automatically registered for 2SV (two-step verification). The company strongly believes that 2SV is one of the most reliable ways to eliminate illegal access to accounts and networks.

Aside from this, TheVerge report suggests that 2 million YouTube creators will also be forced to use two-step verification by the end of this year. Accordingly, the Google Android app menu will also get a new section for access to all saved passwords.

Through a blog post, Google has recently revealed that it plans to force more users to use 2SV before the end of the year. This basically means that the account holder must pass additional verification steps, including phone calls, emails, or security keys.

Google said it has cooperated with various organizations to provide more than 10,000 security keys to most high-risk users by the end of the year. Google also said that in addition to 2SV, they are researching more methods so that users can obtain a secure authentication experience and reduce reliance on passwords.

To be mentioned, earlier this year, Google stated that it would automatically enable two-factor authentication (2SV) for configured accounts. This week, the technology giant gave a clearer explanation on this point.
