Galaxy Watch 4 users facing unexpected Continuous Heart Rate graph issue in Samsung Health app

Published

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 owners noticed a change in data visualization following the update of the Samsung Health app. The company has installed a new graph that displays data in categories instead of the Continuous Heart Rate graph. Each day is divided by timelines that indicate the ups and downs of that part of the day.

While this seems to be an inoffensive change, some users are not happy with the review. There is no denying that this is a download from the old version of the Samsung Health app. Since accuracy can be a problem for portable devices, users are encouraged to view tracking data only as a reference. Samsung probably wants to show this with a new update.

Though, it did not take long for conspiracy opinions to circulate online, especially on Reddit (via). Some users claim that the company deliberately separates data from the hidden secrets of the Galaxy Watch 4.

It is worth noting that most of the firmware and their compatible applications use a continuous line graph to show heart rate data. To make matters worse, Samsung customer support has told a Reddit user that users can’t go back to the old version of the Health app.

The user says the continuous line graph can come back by uninstalling a new version of Samsung Health and installing the old version (ex: v6.18). While this is an unofficial way to fix a problem, it is the only way to save the old graph. Samsung may announce a specification or possibly an option to go back to the old graph to avoid any further issues in this regard.
