One UI 4.0 Tip: How to use Bixby in Samsung phones?
Samsung One UI 4 Beta program is currently available for the Galaxy S21 series smartphone users in the select regions. The One UI 4.0 beta based on Android 12 comes with a large number of features in which the RAM Plus and Material You are the noticeable ones as they take the user experience to the next level.
One UI 4 Beta program is an opportunity for Samsung consumers that lets them taste the flavor (download) of all the upcoming features and changes of the latest Android generation-based custom skin ahead of its stable release for Galaxy devices.
In addition to this, Samsung also confirmed that the stable Android 12 update will start rolling out to Galaxy smartphones later this year. However, later, Google itself confirmed the arrival. Although, here, we are discussing how to use Bixby in One UI 4
What is Bixby?
Bixby is the first Samsung Smart Assistant launched on Galaxy S8 and S8+. You can interact with Bixby using voice, text, or click. It is deeply integrated with the mobile phone, which means that Bixby can perform many of the tasks you perform on the phone.
It is a virtual assistant on your Galaxy phone or tablet that learns, evolves, and adapts to you. It learns your routines, helps you set up reminders based on time and location, and is built into your favorite apps.
How to use Bixby on Galaxy devices?
The dedicated Bixby button on the left is a convenient way to invoke Bixby. A short press of the Bixby button will take you to the Bixby homepage.
- From a Home screen,
- press and hold the Side key.
Tip: You can also access Bixby from the Apps list.
How to set Bixby voice:
Set up Bixby Voice with a Bixby key
- To set up Bixby Voice, press and hold the Bixby key.
- If you want to change Bixby’s language, tap English, and then choose your desired language.
- Sign in to your Samsung account if you haven’t already, and then tap Next again.
- Read the information, and check off your desired settings. Then, tap Next.
- If prompted, tap Next, and follow the instructions to set up Voice wake-up. When you’re finished, tap Done.
Note: You can tap Skip if you want to set it up at a later time. If you’ve set up Bixby Voice wake-up in the past, it may remember your voice and set it up automatically.
Set up Bixby Voice with a Side key
- First, press and hold the Side key to open Bixby. Read the information about the Side key, and then tap Next.
- If you want to change Bixby’s language, tap English, and then choose your desired language.
- Sign in to your Samsung account if you haven’t already, and then tap Next.
- If you would like to have a shortcut to Bixby added to your Home screen or to open Bixby with a double press of the Side key, tap the options to place or remove a checkmark. Tap Done.
- If prompted, tap Next, and follow the instructions to set up Voice wake-up. When you’re finished, tap Done.
- If want to add a shortcut to the Home screen, tap Add when prompted.
Bixby Routines
You can use Bixby to show you information or change device settings based on where
you are and what you are doing.
- From Settings, tap Advanced features > Bixby Routines.
Bixby Vision
Bixby is integrated with your Camera, Gallery, and Internet apps to give you a deeper
understanding of what you see. It provides contextual icons for translation, QR code
detection, landmark recognition, or shopping.
Camera
Bixby Vision is available on the Camera viewfinder to help understand what you see.
- From Camera, tap More > Bixby Vision and follow the prompts.
Gallery
Bixby Vision can be used on pictures and images saved in the Gallery app.
- From Gallery, tap a picture to view it.
- Tap Bixby Vision and follow the prompts.
Internet
Bixby Vision can help you find out more about an image you find in the Internet app.
- From the Internet, touch and hold an image until a pop-up menu is displayed.
- Tap Search with Bixby Vision and follow the prompts
