One UI 4.0 Tip: How to setup Navigation bar on Samsung phone?
In September this year, Samsung announced the first beta update for the Galaxy S21 series smartphone users. And now, the company has recently released One UI 4 beta 3 update for this series of devices, which brings optimization and new features for better system stability.
One UI 4 based on the Android 12 operating system (OS) introduces new and improved customization and privacy capabilities that give users control over many aspects of their mobile experience. It also expands on Android 12’s permission options, allowing users to view their permissions history from the last seven days, not just the last 24 hours.
With One UI 4, users get customization options at every turn. A wealth of theme options let the users adjust the look and functionality of their device, giving them tools to configure their home screens, icons, notifications, wallpapers, and much more. However, here, we are talking about how to set up Navigation Bar on One UI 4.
Navigation bar
The navigation bar can help you navigate your Galaxy device, whether you prefer the classic style or customize the layout and button order, or even make it disappear altogether and use gestures to navigate your phone instead. When you turn on the screen, you see soft buttons on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Navigation buttons
You may navigate your device by using either the navigation buttons or full-screen gestures. Use buttons along the bottom of the screen for quick navigation.
- From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Buttons.
- Tap an option under the Button in order to choose which side of the screen the Back
and Recent apps icons display.
Navigation gestures
Hide the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen for an unobstructed screen experience. Instead swipe to navigate your device.
- From Settings, tap Display > Navigation bar > Swipe gestures to enable the feature.
- Tap an option to customize:
- More options: Choose a gesture type and sensitivity.
- Gesture hints: Display lines at the bottom of the screen where each screen gesture is located.
- Show button to hide keyboard: Show an icon on the bottom right corner of the screen to hide the keyboard when the device is in portrait mode.
- Block gestures with S Pen: Prevent the S Pen from making navigation gestures (Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G only).
