One UI 4.0 Tip: How to use AR Zone on Samsung Galaxy devices?

Samsung has officially announced the latest One UI Beta 3 for the Galaxy S21 series on October 20. This update brings several new features and fixes for a better overall user experience. In addition to this, the company had already confirmed that the stable version of One UI 4 based On Android 12 will release later this year.

Samsung has apparently included a lot of new features in its Android 12 update, from multitasking improvements to animated emojis on the Samsung keyboard. However here we are talking about the AR Zone on One UI 4.

What is AR Zone?

AR Zone, where AR stands for Augmented Reality, provides you with AR-related functions, such as AR Emoji and AR Doodle. You can choose any feature and take interesting photos or videos.

Furthermore, you can now use AR emojis as profile pictures in contacts and Samsung accounts. You can choose from more than 10 poses or create your own expressions. If you don’t like your real face, you can now use a slightly scary but idealized version as your contact photo.

If AR emojis are not enough for your contact photos, you can now use them in One UI 4 to make cool dance videos. There are templates from 10 different categories, including #Fun, #Cute, and #Party.  You can even use your own hand-drawn sketches to create custom clothing for your AR emoji.

How to use it?

  1. Go to the Camera app
  2. Swipe to More
  3. Then tap AR Zone.

The following features are available:

  • AR Emoji Camera: Use the camera to create your My Emoji avatar.
  • AR Doodle: Enhance videos by adding line drawings or handwriting to your environment. AR Doodle tracks faces and space so they move with you.
  • AR Emoji Studio: Use AR tools to create and customize your My Emoji avatar.
  • AR Emoji Stickers: Add AR stickers to your My Emoji avatar.
  • Deco Pic: Decorate photos or videos in real-time with the camera.
