Announced at Matter allows Samsung Galaxy devices, TVs, and Family Hub1 appliances to have more flexible connecting options via SmartThings.

Launched earlier this year, Matter is an industry-standard that transforms the industry created by more than 180 companies and transforms the smart home industry. Matter aims to be a de-facto standard for all homes, giving users interaction between devices, flexibility and flexibility, and more options when purchasing connected home devices.

As the founding member, SmartThings is one of the most flexible platforms capable of working with multiple contracts including, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and now, Matter, enabling buyers with smart homes available to seamlessly integrate new devices into their homes.

In addition, Matter opens a brand new chapter for global innovation, which allows more time to focus on creation while reducing the time spent on duplication of efforts across a variety of ecosystems.

Mature-enabled devices will join many of the products and products already available within the larger SmartThings ecosystem, including devices from Google, eve Systems, Honeywell Home by Resideo, Linksys, Nanoleaf, Philips Hue, Schlage, Wemo, Yale, and more.

Historically, the connected home has been very diverse and SmartThings has been the last to connect devices together across all types and platforms. The SmartThings open platform brings together devices, developers, and services to provide one of the largest integrated ecosystems.

With hundreds of proven products and millions of users across the site, SmartThings supports the establishment of a connected life across all multiple-use situations. Samsung will bring Matter to a wide range of products by 2022 as the new standard is available and fully integrates the SmartThings platform.
