Just recently, Samsung released the November 2021 security patch details that show several bugs and issue fixes for the Galaxy devices. In addition to the security bulletin, the OEM has also shared its revised software update rollout plan, better known as Scope page.

Undoubtedly, the Korean tech giant has several smartphone lineups including the Galaxy S, Note, Z, A, and M as well as different software support offerings – monthly, quarterly and biannual. Within a single month, Samsung provides millions of new s/w updates such as security patches and Android + One UI upgrades.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

At the beginning of 2021, Samsung promised four years of regular security updates to all the Galaxy devices launched in/after 2019. However, the company will offer only two new updates in the last/fourth year and will discontinue official support. (Read more)

Samsung One UI 7 Update: Which Galaxy devices will get Android 15?

Google Pixel phones will receive the Stable Android 15 update in mid-October. The latest OS remained limited to the Pixel devices till I/O 2024. There’s no info on when Samsung will debut its Android 15 Beta Program — One UI 7 — for Galaxy devices.

Following the I/O 2024 event, Android vendors including Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus started Public Beta for their flagships, which Samsung has not joined. The company is still working on kicking off the One UI Beta program.

One UI 6.1.1 is the latest Galaxy skin based on Android 14. The Android 15-based One UI 7 will arrive on many Samsung devices later this year. We are in September 2024, but already know Galaxy devices are eligible for Android 15.

The Galaxy S24 series will surely be the first to get One UI 7 Beta sometime in August this year. The South Korean tech giant will then expand its Beta activity for other latest flagships including Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6, and some older lineups including but not limited to the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Verizon is rolling out a new update for the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone, which brings a September 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. The update is available for locked models on the Verizon network, however, unlocked models already received it in the US.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G users are getting the September 2024 security update on the Verizon network carrier with One UI build version A536VSQSCEXH3. The update is currently live in the US and the company will soon make this update available in more countries.

Users can manually install the update by going to the smartphone’s settings, selecting ‘Software Update’, and then choosing ‘Download and install’. Following these steps will help ensure that your Samsung Galaxy A53 5G  remains secure and up-to-date.
