Qualcomm to launch Snapdragon 898 later this month, phones coming before Spring Festival
Every year, Qualcomm launches its new generation flagship SoC in December, therefore, it’s expected that it will introduce the Snapdragon 898 (sm8450) chip developed by Samsung’s 4nm process technology next month. After that, the company will introduce the Snapdragon 898 Plus (sm8475) in H2 2022 made in TSMC foundary.
Well-known Chinese tipster, DigitalChatStation revealed that Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon flagship processor will be unveiled around the end of this month or early next month. Besides, the tipster also claimed that the first batch of Snapdragon 898 phones might be released around the Spring Festival in China.

It was reported that Snapdragon 898 SoC is expected to be built on Samsung’s 4nm process tech with a new dual Part 3400 architecture, and equipped with Adreno 730 GPU. In addition, the Snapdragon 898 chip has a total of eight cores, while the base frequency shown in the list is 1.79GHz.
As per the previous reports, the phone manufacturers that have an opportunity of announcing or even launch the new generation of Snapdragon flagship platforms in the first batch include Samsung, Lenovo, Motorola, Xiaomi, Huawei, vivo, OPPO and so on.
