Samsung’s latest update improves fall detection, adds watch faces to older Galaxy Watches
Recently, Samsung announced the new software experience coming to Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and Galaxy Watch 3. These updates enhance the health features of older watches and bring some custom features to the Galaxy Watch 4.
Samsung believes in putting the best mobile experience in the hands of as many people as possible, which includes companies’ commitment to providing continuous software support to previous models of the Galaxy Watch. That’s why Samsung has announced that the One UI 4 is available to give Galaxy users a superior mobile experience.
Here are some of the features you can look forward to:
- Advanced Fall Detection
- Updated Group Challenge
- Perfect Watch Face
Galaxy Watch has improved fall detection
The biggest changes in this update are the ones that deal with health. Samsung watches have a life-saving fall detection tool, but this new update helps to improve it so that it can detect falls when a person is standing still.
Previously, the Galaxy Watch 4 could detect a fall when someone was running or working the other way, but now it will be able to do so if someone falls and does nothing at all. It’s done the way you want it to, so if you have a family member who may be in danger of fainting suddenly and need extra care, Samsung’s Galaxy watches might be ideal.
Updated Group Challenge
Speaking of family members, Samsung has also introduced a new “group challenge” feature that allows people to compare performance levels between selected friends or family members. Apple is already doing this with Apple Health, and now Samsung is offering the same feature of its ecosystem.
Perfect Watch Face
Finally, Samsung added to the selection of 10 new watches. These came with the Galaxy Watch initially, but the company is replacing them with older watches so users can enjoy the same software on all clocks.
You will never have One UI Watch on those old watches, remember, but Samsung does a great job of keeping them as close and modern as possible while using two different wearable operating systems.
In other knowledge, Samsung is also rolled out a new update for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra, bringing Android 12 and One UI 4 to its latest flagships. Samsung has also released the rollout plan that has been removed since then has been shared with the company to add those updates to its many older devices in January.
