Samsung aims to use Qualcomm chips for Galaxy S22 FE and other smartphones/tablets in 2022

Samsung is betting heavily on Qualcomm next year, about half of the company’s 2022 list that will be powered by Snapdragon processors. According to South Korea’s book The Elec, Samsung intends to use Qualcomm chips on 31 of the 64 devices it plans to launch next year. The report is based on a leaked internal document outlining Samsung’s 2022 smartphone delivery plan.

In addition to Qualcomm’s 30 powerful devices, Samsung intends to launch 20 devices that will use their Exynos processors. MediaTek and Unisoc chipsets also receive documentation in 14 and 3 models, respectively. We think the difference in numbers may be because Samsung counts the Exynos and Snapdragon variants for their phones as a single device family.

Half of Samsung’s 2022 Galaxy devices will use Qualcomm chips

As per the report, on its recently completed 2021 investment day, Qualcomm explained that about 50% of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series shipped in 2022 will be Qualcomm-enabled devices. This contradicts previous reports about Samsung’s chances of opting for a different launch by Exynos for the Galaxy S22 altogether. Therefore, the company is likely to stick to its tried and tested strategy for launching the Snapdragon 898– and Exynos 2200-powered Galaxy S-series models next year.

From what we know so far, the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 +, and S22 Ultra will all find their Qualcomm and Exynos variants. The company’s next-generation foldable lineup- the expected Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 – will continue to use Qualcomm chips.

There is already talk of the Galaxy S22 Fan Edition, a company that intends to release it later in 2022 – however with the exception of Exynos only. It is important to note that this report is ahead of time because Samsung has yet to release its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE, or we have good reason to believe it will arrive in January or February 2022.

For those who intend to buy a Samsung tablet in 2022, please note that there is a strong possibility that it will be the case for the whole Exynos, with the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Ultra, and S8 Plus all planned for use. Exynos 2200 processor.

Samsung may have all the intentions of sticking to this plan, but as can be seen in the case of the Galaxy S21 FE, the upcoming threat of chip shortages could lead to last-minute delays and delays.
