In a recent development, WhatsApp has released several new beta updates to test the upcoming features. These updates bring a new video call shortcut and introduce a new feature to more WhatsApp beta testers, to get notified when unknown business accounts contact you.

According to the latest info (via-Wabetainfo), the company is now rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program. The new update comes with version number 2.21.24.8 and mentions that it is currently working on a new feature called Reaction Notifications.

In the previous, WhatsApp has stated that it is working on message reaction. Meanwhile, they enabled the feature incorrectly and then promptly removed the feature in the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.21.22.7 update. Hence beta testers can test the feature temporarily, even if sending responses doesn’t work.

But now, with this update, WhatsApp is working on a way to manage reaction notifications in chats and groups, planned to be released in a future update.

In this screenshot, you can see that you will be able to manage response notifications for individual chat threads and group chats as well when the feature to respond to messages will be available in a future update.

Currently, there is no information about when the company will release this feature through a new update.
