Samsung Calendar with One UI 4.0 (Android 12) design and features unveiled

Introduced on November 15, the One UI 4.0 is officially available for the latest Samsung S flagship lineup in several regions. However, this Android 12 based software system is likely to expand to more Galaxy devices in near future, the company is updating the stock applications in the meantime.

This time, Samsung announced the new version of Samsung Calendar that equips the brand new One UI 4.0 design alongside additional features from Android 12. According to the official info, Samsung Calendar in charge in South Korea officially unveiled the latest version of this application.

What’s new

Starting with the user interface, the One UI 4.0 upgrade brings improvements to the visibility of Samsung Calendar. The company claims, the engineers wanted to offer a crisp and clean design experience that paper calendars provide. Accordingly, the major changes in Samsung Calendar are mentioned below.

1. Now, you can see the schedule of a month at a glance on the monthly calendar.
2. The date notation has been centered.
3. The font size has been increased.
4. The aspect ratio of the calendar area has been optimized.

Aside from this, Samsung improved the Calendar app with a design that allows you to focus only on the important content by removing visual obstructions such as background color and schedule bar from each calendar.

On the other hand, in the list view of the monthly calendar, the presence or absence of a schedule is displayed on a date, and when a date is selected, the schedule for that day is displayed as a list. Also, the start time of each event is highlighted in calendar color in order to prevent forgetting that event.

Last but not least, the newly added ‘ Month & Today ‘ widget shows the calendar and today’s schedule at once. And past events among today’s events will automatically disappear, enabling consumers to easily check only the remaining events.
