Google will soon fix wallpaper bug that crashes games in Android 12L

Android 12 has been absolutely received by the tech community, but it is not perfect. There has been a persistent bug in the software for the last while. This bug will crash every running game if you change the wallpaper. Recently, a tipster Mishal Rahman, state that a solution will come rather than what you expected.

This wallpaper bug has been in beta since Android 12, so it’s weird that it has not been fixed yet. If you change the wallpaper while playing the game and the game is running, it will crash. However, Rahman tweeted that the issue will be fixed in the upcoming Android 12L.

What makes the situation worse is that Android 12L is not expected to be released anytime soon. The new update for Android 12 will end in December, so we hope the solution comes after that; Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Android 12L is currently in the testing phase. It is not currently available on any device but the developer preview is about to launch on the Lenovo P12 Pro. The final version of Android 12L is unlikely to launch until early spring 2022. This problem can continue until then.

What is Android 12L?

Android 12L is the Android version, which is formatted for devices with larger screens. This includes foldable phones and tablets. Android is not the best software for big-screen devices. It’s basically just a mobile version but expands to fit a larger canvas. The UI elements such as multi-tasking screens and notification shade do not work for devices with larger screens.

Android 12L aims to fix this. The notification shade is divided into two columns: one for quick settings and the other for notifications. Also, apps are on a different grid than the line on the multi-tasking screen. These are just some of the changes we will see when Android 12L is launched.
