Latest WhatsApp Beta update removes Migration Media option

Nowadays WhatsApp is constantly adding new features and fixes through beta updates. Similarly, WhatsApp has expanded its popularity among messaging apps all over the world. Considering its popularity, the company is making full efforts to make the application more reliable and advanced.

Now as per the information, WhatsApp has begun to roll out another update through the Google Play beta program, which brings fixes for several bugs and issues. The update carries the build number 2.21.24.11 and includes bug fixes to hide the “Migrate Media” option.

In WhatsApp settings, some beta testers on Android 11 can use this option. Some users report that this option does not work and they do not know its purpose. As per the WABetaInfo Twitter post, the option is not ready yet and we must wait for a new update to understand how it works, or delete it.

If your media files have been migrated on Android 11, it will completely remove everyone’s options. Therefore, it may have been added by mistake. So, before installing this update, please make sure to back up your chat history so that your chat history is protected in case of any problems.

Other than this, in the previous beta update, WhatsApp announced it is developing a new version of the feature to make it compatible with audio messaging. However, the feature had already been released in the recent beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. [Read more]
