Samsung Galaxy S21 gets its first software update after upgrading Android 12/One UI 4.0

The Galaxy S21 is the first Samsung smartphone lineup that had upgraded to the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0. Now, the company started releasing a new One UI 4.0-based firmware update to the Galaxy S21 series devices with regular improvements.

Identified via PDA firmware version ending BUKG, the latest Galaxy S21 update is making its way to the European market, starting with Germany. Unlike the recent release, this new OTA brings just improvements to the system functions for a better user experience.

  • Galaxy S21 Plus – G996BXXU3BUKG
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra – G998BXXU3BUKG

To be mentioned, this new improvements update arrived ahead of December 2021 security update, therefore, it’s expected to fix some unknown errors and issues and further enhance the system functions. Following the initial rollout, the update will soon be expanded to more regions.

Recently, Verizon released a new One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S21 lineup in the US. The changelog mentions improvements to the system performance and enhancements to the device’s stability. Though, consumers claimed that it fixes the display refresh rate issue.

If you want to check for the latest update manually, head to your device Settings tap on Software updates and finally hit the Download and install button.
