On October 4, Google officially unveiled its most predictable iteration, Android 12. Following this, all smartphone OEMs started developing their own custom skin based on Google’s Android 12. Companies like Samsung and Xiaomi also developed their latest software systems based on the new Android version. However, here, in this article, we are comparing the Dark Mode of the latest version of Samsung and Xiaomi, i.e. One UI 4 and MIUI 12.5 Enhanced.

Both the companies have made several remarkable changes and customization with the new Android version. Now, let’s see who wins this small contest- Samsung One UI 4 or Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 enhanced, what do you think? Just tell us in the comment below. Well, below you can see what Sammyfans think about it.

So, now let’s begin the Race! (One UI 4 vs MIUI 12.5: Dark Mode)

Samsung One UI 4: Dark Mode

Starting with Samsung’s One UI 4, which is the fourth generation of One UI based on Android 12. This is the most anticipated software system released by Samsung, bringing a lot of new features and customizations including redesigned Material You widgets. The Galaxy consumers look very inquisitive to install it in their smartphone as it has the latest features as compared to the other OEMs software system.

In the Android 12 update, Samsung has made great improvements to the behavior of Dark Mode. Wallpapers, icons, and images are now automatically dimmed to provide a more consistent look and more comfortable eyes.

It includes the ‘Turn on as scheduled’ option which allows users to configure Dark mode for either Sunset to sunrise or Custom schedule. If you forget to enable Dark mode or Night mode sometimes, with this you can make it automatically turn on or off at a set time.

Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced

Talking about Xiaomi, the company has announced the new custom skin MIUI 12.5 Enhanced with plenty of features and customization. But, it does not include any significant change in the dark mode with this new version. The dark mode looks the same as that in MIUI 12.

Also, there is a problem that when dark mode is on, the buttons on the notification are not always displayed correctly when dark mode is on.

Also, if you only want specific apps to use dark mode, you can toggle them off individually in the Settings menu. Sometimes you’ll see an app that looks better in Light mode. You no longer need to abandon your light mode apps when you turn on system-wide dark mode.

You can also enter the settings menu and find more dark mode options, including a schedule to help you enable dark mode on your Xiaomi phone at a specific time.

What’s the conclusion?

Looking at the above changes in both the software systems, Dark Mode of One UI 4 looks more advanced and fresh as compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced. Therefore, this comparison is definitely in favor of Samsung One UI 4.
