Breaking: Oppo Find N uses Samsung foldable OLED, UTG tech
Last week, Oppo confirmed that it’s going to launch the first foldable smartphone called Find N. Recently, the display size of this upcoming device has been leaked, and now, as per the latest report, Oppo Find N is equipped with a foldable OLED panel and UTG made by Samsung Display.
South Korean media, TheElec report revealed that the foldable display of upcoming Oppo Find N is designed by Samsung, plus, it uses the Galaxy foldables like UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) protection layer for scratch and drop resistance.

As rumored recently, the Oppo Find N features a 7.1-inch internal display with an LTPO OLED panel and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The 5.45-inch cover display, on the other hand, is made by China-based BOE (Beijing Oriental Electronics) and is likely to feature Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection.
The report confirms that Oppo became the first Chinese phone maker for using Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass technology on its upcoming smartphone. However, all the Galaxy Z series devices are already equipped with different types of UTG layers.
To be mentioned, phone makers from the Chinese market had used polyimide film instead of glass for their foldables, following Huawei’s Mate X that was launched back in 2019. Going ahead, the Mate X2 and Xiaomi Mix Fold also uses transparent polyimide film, however, these phones were launched in H1 2021.
