Samsung One UI 4.0 is based on Android 12 and comes with new capabilities designed to improve the user experience. The list of new features is big but the Colour Palette feature has made its own place in the list with its awesome uniqueness.

Samsung One UI 4.0 colour palette feature enables your smartphone to set user interface color based on the color of your current wallpaper. Once set, the system will automatically generate five types of color palettes, consisting of primary, secondary, and color that are suitable for dark mode. As tested, the changes reflect on the Quick Settings panel, Settings menu, Dialer, and app icons.

The color palette feature of the One UI 4.0 is inspired by Android 12 Material You Design, which adopts the color of the entire UI elements based on the appearance of the home screen wallpaper.

The new colour palette system in Samsung One UI 4.0 surely improves the user interface but also maximizes the entire UI design for different moods.

Well, there are two ways to access colour palette

Note: You need to change the wallpaper to generate new color palettes

First:

  1. Go to home screen and pinch inwards with two fingers
  2. Choose Wallpapers
  3. Tap to choose a color palette

Second:

  • Open Settings
  • Colour palette and follow the same procedure mentioned above.

Once enabled, then you need to set a wallpaper

Furthermore, you can also choose to apply the color palette on app icons by tapping on the toggle button. This move will change the outer color and fill it with a primary solid color.
