Samsung postpones Galaxy S20 Android 12 One UI 4.0 update to next year!

On December 28, Samsung has begun releasing the One UI 4.0 update to various flagship Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S20 series. While the update rollout has begun for just a single European country, it looks like it will take a bit longer in order to be available in more regions.

According to the information, Samsung’s Korean community moderator said that the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update release schedule has been changed to January 2022 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices.

The official further disclosed that the One UI 4.0 update development is underway and the company is maximizing the improvements of the devices that have been previously updated. As result, Samsung needs a little longer duration to expand the official Android 12 update to more Galaxy S20 models.

Widgets: One UI 4.0 introduces redesigned Home screen widgets for the Galaxy devices. It gives you more information at a glance and lets you personalize and decorate your home screen in your way, thanks to the new structure of the widget list.

Quick Panel: With the One UI 4.0, consumers can manage brightness more comfortably with the larger brightness bar in the quick panel. In addition, the name of the “Media” button has been changed to “Media Output”.
