Breaking: Samsung Galaxy S21 January 2022 security patch updates 11 stock apps!

Last month, Samsung began its January 2022 security patch distribution with an older yet mid-range Galaxy device – Galaxy A51, well, now, it’s rolling out to the latest one that is the Galaxy S21 series. Initially released in the Netherlands, the Galaxy S21 January 2022 update is now expanding in Germany [Europe].

Galaxy S21 was the first Samsung smartphone lineup that has received the major Android 12-based One UI 4 Beta and One UI 4.0 Stable update. However, the devices are eligible for monthly security patches, the company is fulfilling its promise by releasing the new update.

Consumers in Europe can identify the latest January 2022 security patch through PDA build versions: G998BXXU4BULF, G996BXXU4BULF, and G991BXXU4BULF for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 devices.

Aside from the system security improvements by installing the latest Android patches, Samsung also included updates for several stock apps in order to further enhance the overall user experience. Below, you can check the list of apps that may be updated with the January 2022 software update.

January 2022 One UI security patch details

As per the info shared on the official security updates support page, Samsung’s January 2022 One UI security patch brings fixes for different categories of issues and exploits including 2 critical, 36 high, and 5 moderate for better device stability. At the same time, 9 CVEs are not applicable on Samsung devices.
