A couple of months back, Samsung reportedly closed new user registrations on the Tizen app store, however, a recent report suggests the official Tizen app store has been permanently shut down for the consumers as well as will no longer be accessible by existing users.

This is gonna be really overset for those who are still using the Tizen apps and Tizen OS-based Samsung phones launched under the Galaxy Z series. As per the info, starting December 31st, while the user visits the Tizen app store, the page shows an error code on the screen.

For consumers of Samsung Z series phones, the Tizen app store was an essential app for downloading famous applications and supported games. Following this service suspension, Facebook, WhatsApp, Modern Combat, Asphalt 8, Line, and many other apps were removed from the Tizen store.

The Tizen app services are closed for the Samsung Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 smartphones worldwide. While Galaxy Z4 is the last device to run on TizenOS, so if you’re using the Samsung Z4 series smartphone, it is time to switch over to Android or iOS.

To be noted, Samsung has officially ditched its own developed Tizen OS from the next-gen Galaxy smartwatches in favor of Google’s Wear OS version 3. However, the current Tizen-powered wearables will continue to get support with new firmware updates until the end of the lifespan.
