From the brand new Material You design to a bunch of new features, Google has made countless changes in the current Android 12. Meanwhile, the upcoming Android 13, which is already merged with leaks and rumors will come with further improvements and changes, such as an easier QR codes scanner.

Once an inconvenience, QR (Quick Response) codes have become an important part of our working life. These little black and white squares are usually used to track information about products in the supply chain and because many smartphones have built-in QR readers they are frequently used in marketing and advertising campaigns.

More recently, they have been instrumental in helping to detect coronavirus disease and slow the spread of the virus. Commonly, a smartphone user can scan a QR code through their phone’s camera, however, sometimes, it needs to be operated with Google Lens.

Meanwhile, a piece of new information claims that with Android 13, scanning QR will become easier, users will be able to scan it right from the lock screen of their phone. Below you can check the screenshots, revealed by Android Police.

As you can see in the screenshot above, there is an option that reads “show QR scanner” on the lock screen, and the toggle is supposed to allow access to the QR Scanner from the lock screen. A reference is also visible in the quick settings as its own toggle.

If this isn’t just a rumor and is a piece of correct information, the Android 13 QR codes scanner would be a more involuntary method of being able to scan QR codes than existing systems and will make it a really easier process available.
