WhatsApp keeps on introducing several new features for its in-app voice recorder to provide a better user experience. Recently, the company released a global voice note player feature that allows users to listen to the voice notes even after switching to a different chat.

Now, WhatsApp is rolling out new options for its voice recording that is Pause and Resume for Whatsapp Desktop. It allows users to play and stop the voice recording before sending it.

In the shared screenshot (WABetaInfo), we can clearly see the pause button that lets you pause voice notes. Earlier there was a stop icon instead of the pause button.

Before sending a voice note, you can see three options which are Listen, Delete and Resume. If you have installed the latest beta update but don’t get this option, then you will have to wait long as this feature has rolled out to some beta testers.

At present, the Pause and Resume option is being rolled out only for WhatsApp Desktop Beta 2.2201.2. However, the feature is already available for WhatsApp for iOS and the company will soon make it available to WhatsApp for Android through its beta update.
