How to check for updates manually?

If you want to check for the latest update manually, head to your device Settings tap on Software updates and finally hit the Download and install button.

What’s new:

Apart from the all-new Android 12 operating system, the One UI 4.0 also brings new features as well as enhanced customization and privacy abilities that let users control many aspects to allow users to create their own optimized mobile experience.

Quick Panel: With the One UI 4.0, consumers can manage brightness more comfortably with the larger brightness bar in the quick panel. In addition, the name of the “Media” button has been changed to “Media Output”.

Widgets: One UI 4.0 introduces redesigned Home screen widgets for the Galaxy devices. It gives you more information at a glance and lets you personalize and decorate your home screen in your way, thanks to the new structure of the widget list.

    • Lock screen widgets have a simple design.

Dynamic wallpapers: The One UI 4.0 also adapted Google Android 12’s Dynamic wallpapers, commonly known as Material You theming engine. In addition to the capability to select from featured and downloaded wallpapers, you can now choose different color themes based on colors from your wallpaper.

 


 

UPDATE 5: Galaxy S10 Android 12 – US (Xfinity Mobile)

Samsung has begun releasing the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series phones in the US. In addition to Verizon, the One UI 4.0 update is now available on Xfinity Mobile consumers of Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ users, while the firmware versions are:

  • G970USQU6HULD – Galaxy S10e
  • G973USQU6HULD – Galaxy S10
  • G975USQU6HULD – Galaxy S10+

 


 

UPDATE 4: Galaxy S10 (Lite too) Android 12 – India

The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 major software update with December 2021 security patch is now expanding to the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone users in India. Check version numbers below, followed by download steps.

UPDATE 3: Galaxy S10 Android 12 – Australia

Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ devices are now receiving the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in Australia.

 


 

UPDATE 2: S10 Lite too

The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update is continuously rolling out to more Galaxy devices in which the Galaxy S10 Lite is the latest entry as of today. Currently, the update is released in Spain, while the firmware version is G770FXS6FULA.

Update: Samsung has now released the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the 5G cousin of the Galaxy S10 series as well. The update is initially rolling out in Switzerland, bearing firmware version – G977BXXUBGULB. However, the security patch level is December 2021.

Just recently, Samsung has begun the stable One UI 4.0 update rollout for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 10 series. And now, the major Android 12 update is making its way to the famous Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e, and Galaxy S10+ devices.

Initially, the Korean tech giant is releasing the official Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy S10 series in Germany. However, we can expect a broader rollout in the coming days or weeks. In addition, the update includes the most up-to-date December 2021 security patch.
