Samsung launched ‘earn and learn’ apprenticeship scheme in UK

Samsung is knowns for its production of a wide variety of consumer and industry electronics, along with all that it also proved various schemes for young people to establish themselves in the business world.

On February 3rd, 2022, Samsung UK launched Apprenticeship Scheme to help youths gain skills. The new training scheme gives youth the best of both worlds with a direct path into the world of work while earning competency.

There are over 450,000 young unemployed people in the UK. Students review their future education for the challenges of the past two years in a pandemic, which the world has witnessed over the past two years.

With this new vocational training system, Samsung wants to give the majority of young people the right way to work, the opportunity to earn and learn with the Samsung UK Apprenticeship scheme.

The Director of Samsung Electronics for the UK, Ireland & Europe states that

“We know that not everyone wants or has the means to go to university so we’re looking to offer both an entry point into the industry with invaluable on-the-job experience as well as formal qualifications. With consumer electronics touching every aspect of our everyday lives and culture, from music to fashion and gaming, we can’t wait to welcome more young talent to our industry-leading team at Samsung UK.”

However, only selected participants will receive an ‘income and learning’ grant, not everyone who applies for this scheme will benefit. they can work and at the same time earn a degree in their field of interest.

The programs that include in the apprenticeships scheme are

1. Marketing
2. Sales & business development
3. Technical
4. Finance

The registration is started and lasts long until 17 March, whereas the selected candidate will start Samsung’s wider Emerging Talent program from September 2022.
