[India too] Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra 5G get January 2022 security update

Samsung is expanding the January 2022 Android security update for Galaxy Note 20 smartphones in India. This update installs various privacy and security-related vulnerabilities including 2 critical, 36 high, and 5 moderate levels of CVEs for the device’s performance enhancement.

The Galaxy Note 20 January 2022 update comes with One UI build version N980FXXS3EULH, whereas, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users can identify it through the firmware version N986BXXS3EULH.

How to download:

  • Go to the Settings of your smartphone.
  • Click on Software update.
  • Tap on Download and install.
    • The system will check for available update
  • Click on Download now, if available.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.

January 25, 2022:

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung started rolling out the January 2022 Android security update for the LTE variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra smartphones. Now the company is releasing the update for 5G variants of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G January 2022 update improves the performance of your phone. In addition, it will also protect the system from unwanted bugs and viruses. It comes with One UI build version N981BXXS3EULH and N986BXXS3EULH for the vanilla and Ultra models respectively.

Moreover, the update is currently released for UAE users. However, the update is expected to soon expand for other countries’ users in the coming days of the week. If you are a user of Galaxy Note 20 5G in UAE, you can now upgrade your device to the latest version.
