Samsung One UI 4.0 Simplified Motions and Gestures Controls
One UI 4.0 is the fourth version of Samsung’s custom skin based on Android 12. The latest One UI version 4.0 comes with numerous new features for Samsung devices, including new icons, color palette, useful home widgets, new privacy features and more.
Based on Google’s Android 12 operating system, the One UI 4.0 version has an amazing and useful feature called ‘Motion and Gestures‘, which makes your work slightly easier.
Samsung Motions and Gestures
Samsung’s Motions and Gestures are here to make life easier. With a few hand gestures, you may be told to turn on your phone, mute your alerts, or take a screenshot.
It can also make your phone vibrate as soon as it is picked up after you receive the message, so you will be reminded to reply immediately. Play with different features until you find them for your convenience and turn them on or off to have more control over your phone.
How you can access these Samsung Motions and Gestures?
You can interact with your phone by performing simple actions such as swiping and tapping with your hands.
To find Motion and Gesture, navigate and open Settings, then swipe up and tap Advanced Features. Press Motions and Gestures, these options are available:
- Lift to wake up: Lifting your phone turns on the screen so you can easily see new notifications and messages.
- Double-tap to turn on the screen: When you press it twice, the screen turns on. This will help you to avoid accidentally turning on the screen.
- Double-tap to turn off the screen: When you double-click on a lock or empty screen on the home screen, the screen turns off.
- Keep screen on while viewing: The screen stays on as long as you watch it, you do not have to touch it. The camera detects your face before keeping the screen bright.
- Alert when you pick up: If you miss a call or message, your phone will vibrate as soon as you pick it up.
- Mute with gestures: Placing your hand on the screen will mute alarms and calls. You can even turn your face down to make your phone silent.
- Palm swipe to capture: Swipe the edge of your hand across the screen to take a quick screenshot.
What more you can do?
Direst Cal and Finger sensor Gestures

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Z Flip 7 could pack Exynos 2400e and Exynos 2500
Samsung could pack the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Z Flip 7 with Exynos processors. The company could launch its first affordable foldable phone next year. The device could get a different camera and processor from the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Leaker Jukanlosreve revealed that Samsung could use the Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy Z Flip FE and Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The former Exynos variant powers the Galaxy S24 FE, while the Exynos 2500 is an upcoming product.
Samsung previously intended to use Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy S25 series. However, the chip has a major performance difference from its Snapdragon counterpart. This led the company to solely rely on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the S25 series.
Exynos 2500 is being manufactured using Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process node. The yield rate is quite low (around 20%), which is far from the production threshold. However, Samsung chose the path to produce the chip at such a low yield rate.
Exynos 2400 has proven to be a decent chip with no frustrating flaws. The Exynos 2400e could be used in the Z Flip FE. The “e” model could be made using IPoP (Integrated Package on Package) tech, which is cheaper than the standard method.
Recently, a Korean media outlet reported that Samsung Foundry has started mass production of a 3nm Exynos 2500 chip. It was initially intended to be used in the S25 and S25 Plus, but issues pushed it towards the second-half debut in the Z Flip 7.
