Google Android 13 Roadmap: Developer Preview, Beta, AOSP, Public Release

Google released the first Developer Preview of Android 13 on February 10, 2022. At the same time, Google published the Android 13 development stages (AKA roadmap), which includes Developer Preview, Public Beta, AOSP, and Stable Release.

  • Developer Previews — Feb/Mar
  • Beta Releases — Apr/May
  • Platform Stability — Jun/July
  • Final Release — Sep/Oct

According to the roadmap shared by Google, there will be the next Developer Preview build next month, followed by new Public Beta builds in April, and May. And then, the company will work on gaining Platform Stability starting June, which may take it’s one month or two.

In the Developer Preview and Public Beta activity, Google is letting Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel 5a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 4a, Pixel 4 XL, or Pixel 4 smartphone users experience the Android 13 operating system and take part in its development, ahead of a stable release.

Android 12/12L

Last October, Google launched the Android 12 operating system for mobile phones, which comes with radical design changes in addition to a bunch of new features. Going ahead, Google confirmed to unveil the foldable and big screen-focused version Android 12L in the first quarter of 2022.
